Loose parts experience.

We returned from our christmas vacation and we felt that we needed some changes. Everything changes, we become older and our needs also change.

So we have to adjust our surroundings beginning with our classroom to our needs. We decided to add more loose parts. Some of our loose parts are wooden blocks, ribbons and clothes used to create anything you wish!

 And we felt very enthusiastic with our decision. Children immediately become interested in these new materials.

Elvira used two wooden blocks to do ski and then put them together and used them like a skateboard. I was excited by the way she adjusted her movement with her creation. She changed it according to the sport she pretended to be doing.

Eleni made ribbons into a big tongue of a whale. 

Moreover Bill became a superhero with magic glasses made with ribbons.

I think that loose parts introduced children with new ways of thinking and playing, and I observed that the very first day in our “New classroom”.
