Once upon a time…

Everyone remembers themselves enjoying a fairytale when he/ she was a child. The majority of children love fairytales. Why don’t we take advantage of this fact to satisfy our pedagogical purpose?

A toddler in age of two to three years old can describe pictures, with words. So we can use fairytales to develop oral communication. Moreover children can use their imagination to change stories or to take roles and play them.

In all respects, children have the opportunity to express their feelings, their fears and describe facts from their daily life that made them feel weird. Another purpose we can satisfy through fairytales is to exercise slight movement. Children can draw the heroes or their favorite scene of the story. Also, we can provide them with materials to make the model of the fairytale. We could change traditional plays and adjust them in our story.

I’m certain that if we use our imagination we can think of lot of things we could do with fairytales. I think that fairytales are a useful implement to satisfy our pedagogical purpose and that’s the reason we decided to base our next project on them.
