A bottle or an endless play?

Our recycle bin was full of plastic bottles. Milk bottles and detergent bottles. What could we do with these,  I thought?  I decided to add these  in our classroom like loose parts.
Immediately children’s eye caught them and different games began.

First I had to  try to  enrich  their play and showed them multiple choices to use. But quickly I understood that there is no need for this.  Children know better than me what they can do with the bottles!
Thanasis uses a bottle and its cap to pretend that he makes bubbles. Not so far, another children realised  what he did and tried to imitate his action .

Kynthia tries to make big towers.  When the tower is  big enough we  all destroy it and we laugh with the noise it makes. Much fun!

Other children try to make shoes with bottles. They try to balance on them and the result it wearing shoes which make noise.
We use different ways to compose the bottles. We make big roads and strange fences  around them.
Usually simple materials are more interesting for children play than complex, plastic and expensive or automated toys.
